Conference GEOSYNTHETICS 2019

February, 2019. From 7th to 8th February 2019, the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Zilina was held the 13th International Conference focusing on the use of geosynthetics in transport constructions and environmental projects, prepared jointly by Department of geotechnics FCE (KGT) and the Department of railway engineering and track management (KŽSTH), in cooperation with:

• Slovak chapter of the International geosynthetics society (IGS Slovakia),
• Slovak Chamber of Civil Engineers (SKSI),
• Slovak Railways (ŽSR) and Slovak Road Society (SCS).

At conference were presented the latest findings from the use of geosynthetic products in transportation constructions, especially in the design, realization and reconstruction of transport and environmental structures. In co-operation with company HUESKER, we published an article titled „Active and passive facing systems for reinforced soil structures.“
